Os Nepal, Dhangadhi, March 22: Minister for Education, Chitralekha Yadav, has said the Education Act was being amended to solve teachers’ problems.
At a representatives’ assembly of Nepal Teachers’ Association, Kailali Chapter, here on Saturday, Minister Yadav said the amendment of the existing Education Act was made in view of the suggestions from the teachers’ associations and other stakeholders.
According to her, the Prime Minister was serious on solving the problems of the school teachers. Education is the national priority, she added.
Central Chairman of Nepal Teachers’ Federation Keshav Niraula, Vice-Chairman Siddharaj Bhatta, Constituent Assembly members Dirgha Bhat and Inshwori Neupane and others said solving teachers’ problems could help boost quality education.
The two-day assembly would hold a review discussion on the one year’s activities and mull future plans. RSS
