Os Nepal, Kathmandu, March 29: A committee named parliamentarians without border for children rights has been formed comprising the parliaments from various countries with the aim of ending girl trafficking and enabling children’s access to education in the world.
The nine-member committee has the representation from the countries including Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan and India. The committee is formed under the patronage of Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Shatyarthi.
Member of the committee from Nepal, Dilli Bahadur Chaudhari, said the committee would work actively across the globe. According to him, the Nobel Laureate Shatyarthi said the growing violence against women and children could be fought by rising above political and party interests.
The meeting of the committee held recently at Budhanilakantha of the capital city expressed commitment that they would devote to protection and promotion of child rights. RSS
