FTTH service attracts customers

The Fiber to the Home (FTTH) service being provided by the Nepal Telecom has started attracting customers.More than 6,000 people have taken this service in Kailali district in a short period. A customer can get three service at a time from a single wire of fiber to be linked in a house of the customer under this service.

The service is being expanded to Dhangadhi, Attariya, Bhajani, Tikapur and Lamki of Kailali district.The service being provided in the districts of Sudurpaschim province including Kailali is said to be a new service.

Chief of Nepal Telecom Dhangadhi office, Surat Bahadur Malla, said that three services—high-speed internet service as well as television channel and landline phone could be received from single wire of fiber. A customer has to pay minimum Rs 15,980 annual to get all three service of FTTH till January 15.

Malla shared that people have been attracted towards this service in a short period, adding that this service is being expanded in all districts except Bajura, Darchula and Bajhang of Sudurpaschim province.The Nepal Telecom has started providing FTTH service in the country for the past five years.
