Lumbini, May 31 – Dirgha Narayan Pandey of Nepali Congress has been elected the National Assembly (NA) member in the by-election held in Lumbini Province. He won with 4,140 votes while his rival Chandra Bahadur Khadka of CPN (UML) got 3,612 votes.

Pandey was supported by NC, CPN (Maoist Centre), Janata Samajbadi Party and Rastriya Janamorcha. A total of 214 out of 217 votes were cast in the election held today in Ghorahi of Dang district. (RSS)
