Lot of people have no clue due to mobile war technologies, these days any country can be fully defended even from the powerful countries.

Simple logic, if your neighbors are heavyweight boxers do not mean that
lightweight boxer shall not practice boxing.

You get surprise, how easily airspace can be defended easily by new competitive technologies as low as $20 billions as stated above?

Here is an example :

Nepal is just about 547 miles in length & average of 124 miles width.

Buying S-400 Russian made advance air defense system or equivalent Nepalese airspace can be easily protected. It cost about $5.5 Billions and we need 3 of those S-400 (40N6E ) can cover 400 km so two can cover 800 km however additional one can fully secured entire territory/airspace of Nepal and one S-400 can be for the backup.

That will cost total of $16.5 billions.

Now say J-20 Chinese stealth fighter jet will cost about $30 millions each, Russian made SU-35 Stealth fighter jet cost about $85 millions, US made F-22 raptor fighter jet will cost $125 millions each say we need 10 of those high end will cost about $1.2 billions . And at least need one AWACS Phalcon ( Airborne Warning & control systems) Isarel made can get for at least $0.5 billion , whereas high end USA made will cost $1 billion.

So total of $17.5 billions (3 S-400, 1-AWACS high-end)
1.2 billions for 10 high-end raptors equivalent) that is about total of $18.2 billions can fully protect Nepal’s airspace.

In addition to it $1.8 billions can spend for the air defense infrastructure including Cyber warfare security system, trainings, maintenances, creating skill pilots, engineers plus and airbase as required.

So grand total will be $20 billions as a great start .

I do not want to go details on it. This is just raw idea and rough calculations showing readers how easily & cheaply Nepal can defense her airspace? That way no one can enter in Nepalese
airspace/ territory.

Where there is a will there is a way:

Just let readers know almost every country except Super powers like USA, Russia, China have their own productions in most of the cases other than rest of the countries have all the air defense systems based on imported technologies.

So it’s clear that with vision & finance any country can build secured air defense system, definitely it’s cost driven.

There may be question like this Nepal is a small country, why we need advance air defense system?

Here is the answer of above question:

Can you believe Singapore is one of the friendlier country in the world and 205 times smaller than Nepal. But surprisingly she has extraordinary air defense system. In my understanding it makes real sense to be strong and Singapore is in the right direction.

Here is air defense of Singapore:

There is no match with Nepal it’s highly superior to Nepal. Hope all the readers got answers already why Nepal needs air defense now !

See example of air defense of Singapore:

The backbone of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF ) is a fleet of F-15 and F-16 fighters. The RSAF fields forty F-15SG Eagles, forty F-16Ds, and twenty F-16Cs. These are augmented by around thirty F-5S Tiger II and some A-4 Skyhawks in storage. Singapore also fields an AWACS capability with five Israeli modified Gulfstream 550 jets.

If Singapore has vision then why not Nepal?
