Prince Yuvraj Karki was born in the old market of Hariban Municipality, Sarlahi district. From an early age, he had a special interest in films and the arts. He completed his primary education in Nepal before traveling abroad for higher studies. Initially, he moved to Brunei for his education, but later, he relocated to Singapore, where he completed his studies in hospitality and business management. After graduation, he worked in Singapore for several years as a food and beverage manager in a reputed company. At that time, very few Nepalis held high-ranking positions in Singapore, and Karki was among them. He also helped many fellow Nepalis secure jobs in his company, a gesture still highly praised by his friends and colleagues.
About 14 years ago, Karki moved to the United States, where he has emerged as a successful entrepreneur. Along with his business ventures, he has continued his dedication to Nepali art and culture. Now settled in the San Francisco Bay Area, Prince Yuvraj Karki has established himself as a successful businessman. His entrepreneurial ventures include Kafal Restaurant, Everest Restaurant, Everest Digital (Food Technology Company), and Real Estate Business. While expanding his business, he has also remained involved in promoting Nepali cinema and culture.
Karki has played a key role in producing and presenting successful Nepali movies. One of his notable works is the film ‘Tel Visa’ (2024), which highlights the struggles and experiences of Nepali immigrants in the United States. Prince Yuvraj Karki served as the executive producer for the movie, which successfully ran for 51 days in over a dozen theaters across Nepal. Starring Bipin Karki, Barsha Raut, Pooja Chand, Richa Ghimire, and Buddhi Tamang, the movie was released on Mangsir 7. He was also a presenter for the film ‘Chi Musi Chi’ (2018), which featured Sunil Chhetri, Sushant Karki, and Alisha Sharma in lead roles.
Beyond business and film, Prince Yuvraj Karki is also active in social initiatives. Through his social media platforms, he regularly shares updates about Nepali movies, culture, and community events. For example, he actively promoted the film ‘Tel Visa’ on his Facebook page, helping to attract a global audience.

Prince Yuvraj Karki, a Nepali entrepreneur in Silicon Valley, received the 2024 President’s Volunteer Service Award for his contributions to community service and business. At a ceremony on December 20, San Jose Mayor Matt Mohan presented the award, with a signed letter from President Joe Biden recognizing Karki’s impact. His collaboration with Anil Pandey, leader of Motherland Nepal, has further strengthened his philanthropic efforts.
