Rupandehi, Aug 13:The local administration has ordered a lockdown within Butwal Sub-Metorpolitan City effective from today to stem the spread of COVID-19 in community level. The meeting of the Butwal Sub-Metropolis held today decided to implement stay-at-home-order in the sub-metropolis from 11:45 pm today to August 21. Chief Administrative Officer at the Butwal Sub-Metropolis, Chakrapani Sharma, shared that the decision was made to implement lockdown within the Sub-Metropolis in today’s meeting.
Although lockdown has been ordered, the essential supplies and services will resume in the Sub-Metropolis in different designated times. The grocery shops will remain open from 7 am to 11 am while dairy and confectionary related services and supplies will remain open from 7 am to 11 am and 5 pm to 7 pm, informed Sharma.
Vehicles obtaining permit and supplying essential services and supplies will be allowed during the lockdown, according to the Butal Sub-Metropolis.Butwal Sub-Metropolis has witness spike in COVID-19 cases alarmingly lately. The latest move is made to curb the further transmission of the flu-like infection in the community level. (RSS)
