Kathmandu, Dec 9 -The Ministry of Health and Population has recorded 211 more cases of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours. The number of coronavirus infection was confirmed after conducting tests among 9,451 persons.With this, the total infection reached 8,23,554 from PCR tests and total infection 95,701 from antigen tests, according to the Ministry.

The latest update has placed the new recovery at 329 which has reached the total recoveryt 8,5900. Currently, the recovery rate is 97.9 percent.In the last 24 hours, two persons succumbed to coronavirus in Nepal. The total deaths caused by the virus stands at 11,549. The fatality rate is 1.4 percent.

The Ministry further informed that 3,37,172 persons were vaccinated against COVID-19 on Thursday. There are 6,125 active cases of coronavirus in the country. Moreover, 121 infected persons have been receiving treatment at ICU and 30 on ventilator support. (RSS)
