Kathmandu, Nov 1-The country has reported 533 new COVID-19 cases and nine deaths in the past 24 hours. The infection cases were recorded after the total 11,664 tests across the country, said the Ministry of Health and Population. Kathmandu district recorded 162 new cases of the virus while 50 cases in Lalitpur and 16 in Bhaktapur in the past 24 hours.

With this, the number of active cases is 9,318 and the death toll from the virus reached 11,416. A total of 490 infected ones recovered from the infection in the past 24 hours, taking the recovery figure to 792,277. The recovery rate is 97.4 percent while death rate 1.4 percent. Lately, 65,028 people received vaccine against the coronavirus, said the Ministry. (RSS):
